A Cinderella Makeover

We here at gingerlovesart* felt the site needed a fresh new look.

The site is now all dressed up and ready for an evening of awkward dancing, spiked punch and resisting the advances of her horny date followed by more teenage angst than a John Hughes movie marathon....I can't believe she gave her panties to a geek.

Right On Cue

Just to keep you posted...

The other graphic designer in the office was "let go" on Monday. Tim and I were conviently out of the office while they did it so as not to cause a commotion. Reason for the "let go"...bullshit. There was just too much bullshit around here and we are expecting more to arrive so they needed to make room.

I F*N love this place.

Who knew my downfall would be so tasty?

Question: What do you do when you've realized that in the past two months or so you've been using Reduced Fat Nilla Waffers® perhaps a bit too often as a coping mechanism for dealing with your ongoing stress and emotional malfunctions?

Answer
: Dig up the athletic pants that you once used for strenuous and disciplined exercising and change into them as soon as you enter your home and do not remove until dressing for work the next day (except for the case of showering).

Seriously, I'm not psychic but I foresee a lot of elliptical miles in store for myself. Where is Mr. Miyagi when I need him? Not in the cookie aisle thats for damn sure.

TV Sucks...

...because they don't play enough of this guy

Boo Berry Cobbler Muffin Butt

You brought me dark chocolate m&ms with lunch because you knew I was having a bad day. From the very bottom of everything I am, I love you more than anything.~

Are you there, God? It's me Ginger.

There are a handful of times when I can actually say, without any sarcasm what so ever, that I am happy to have my period. Why would I be thankful for the demise that is my womanhood? Because it is a logical and reasonable explanation for wanting to maim and mutilate my sharpies and why I find crap like this bringing me to tears. Seriously. I thought I was loosing my mind. But rest assured, there is a reason and it has nothing to do with needing a frontal lobotomy. I feel much better now.

It's Monday.....enough said.

13 Minutes until files are completely transferred to my newly purchased hard drive. Then my bags will be officially packed and I'll be ready to leave this place. The time to move on has been long overdue and now that its rapidly approaching I'm getting antsy. You would think that being the professional procrastinator that I am I would be trying to put this off until, oh, I don't know, the 5th of whenever I get to it, check the calendar but I think thats a Wednesday.

I suppose that as I've grown up I've gotten less patient with waiting for the inevitable to happen. Now I'm more like, I know its coming, let's just get this ordeal over and done with so that I can move onto more important things, like staying up to date on the pivotal Gyllenspoon situation as well as discovering that duelling is legal in Paraguay as long as both parties are registered blood donors (that would just be senseless violence otherwise, right?)

There's just no point in dragging out this mess. In fact, it makes lugging my where-did-the-weekend-go-so-fast-ass into work more and more difficult every week. But I'm here and the thought that gets me through the day? "At least I don't have this guy's job"

Word of The Day: Amy Sol

I seriously cannot say enough about this woman's work.
I looooooooooooooove her work.
Amy Sol's paintings are infinitely inspiring and wonderful to look at.
Another great artist? Malia, the woman currently tattooing Amy Sol's work on my back, thats how much I love them both.

So I emailed Amy pics of the tattoo's progress and here is what she wrote back...to me...AMY SOL'S EMAIL TO ME.....

omg! wooow, it is breathtaking and the arrangement is beautiful!!
thank you so much for sending the pictures. im truly delighted to see how beautiful it is, your tattoo artist really put it together amazingly.
i really love it ^_^ !! its cool to see someone doing a unique style of tattoo like this. i am so honored that you choose my work as inspiration.
look forward to seeing it come along ! - amy

I love this woman.

Check both of these fantastic ladies out, they are both, for lack of a better word, awesome. And you will be awesome just by looking at their work.

If you too would like some amazing art permanently etched into your skin for all eternity Malia can be found at Ink & Dagger Tattoo in Decatur, ga. They have other great, great artists, but for obvious reasons, she's my favorite.

If you would like amazing art for your walls at home Amy Sol can be found in Las Vegas, although I'm not sure of the specifics because I limit myself to stalking online, not in person.

Here are pics of the outline so far...images with some shading will soon be posted as well. Enjoy!
